From the streets of Marijampolė, Lithuania, to the buzzing tattoo scene of Norwich, Iggy’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Art has always been in his blood—whether it was sketching, graffiti, dancing, or even shredding on the guitar, creativity has shaped every chapter of his life.
As a teenager, Iggy was deeply involved in dance, teaching kids breakdance, hip-hop, house, and electro. But when a serious shoulder injury ended his dancing career, he found a new passion—tattooing. In the early 2010s, before YouTube tutorials and Instagram inspiration, he was entirely self-taught. He managed to land an apprenticeship at a local studio, but soon after, life took him to the UK.
Like many artists, Iggy had to grind through factory jobs to make ends meet. He even took a detour into music, playing in bands and performing live gigs. But something was missing. Then, while painting Warhammer 40K miniatures, he had a realisation—his creativity was wasted in dead-end jobs. It was time to get back to tattooing.
Armed with a fresh mindset and a hunger to learn, Iggy sent out CVs to studios across Norwich. Black Dagger Tattoo Studio answered the call, offering him an apprenticeship under the guidance of Simon Syder, co-founder of Black Dagger Tattoo Norwich. Despite having to start from scratch, he knew he was exactly where he belonged. Since 2020, Iggy has been part of the Black Dagger family, pouring his heart into every piece of ink he creates.
His style? Dark, bold, and full of depth. From blackouts and gothic sketch work to realism, Japanese, and vibrant colour pieces, Iggy thrives on versatility. His passion for Warhammer still plays a role in his art, influencing the intricate details and storytelling behind his tattoos.
Now, as he continues to evolve in the industry, Iggy is building a name for himself—one unforgettable tattoo at a time.
